A Carrie moment....

This outfit is so me it's unreal, but at the same time, so different from what I usually wear. I can't keep my feet out of the Yull Hoxtons I blogged about last week, and so today I used them as the starting point of my outfit. It also reminds me of a Carrie Bradshaw-esque look; maybe circa series 3/4 when she went really bonkers with her looks. Nothing goes together, nothing matches, but, I like it!

I picked up this skirt in River Island for just £5. I have really stopped shopping on the high street just lately; I am really short of money and have decided to take a leaf out of Vix's book and become generally more thrifty. I shall be doing a post about this in due course! The portfolio clutch was just £1 from a charity shop and the blouse cost about the same.

My jacket is also an old RI one, I loved it initially when I bought it but now am not so sure. I might sell it; I am still collecting gubbins to stick on here to do a blog sale in anyone is interested!

I had a huge clear out yesterday and filled two huge bags to give to the charity shop. I also picked up a few things for our home yesterday; Adrian and I went for a wander along to the next town along from ours as I had to pick a parcel up there and the chazzers are full of rich pickings. I found a lovely vintage tablecloth, really kitschy olive server dish and a cute little rose glass pot.

This skirt is, again, a little like the Whistles Carrie (this post is all about Carrie's!) that I would so like, should I win the lottery. I like that the point of difference with this one is the leopard print. I love the shape as well.

Yay! Thanks for the mention!
You look gorgeous, I loved that RI jacket when I spotted it in the window of my local shop, I don't blame you for snapping it up.
That clutch is so beautiful! Why buy new when you can find gorgeous treasures like that (and help a charity at the same time?). xxx

I'm the same, pretty much given up on the high street. Though having said that, River Island is probably the one place I do get things from, oddly. I tend to like the things they shove to the back of the rails! Emma
