Nothing beats a brew...

Hey everyone! Can I just say....as of today....199 followers friends! Wow I feel so lucky that so many of you choose to look at my blog and read what I have to say. I love writing and I feel priviledged that blogging here gives me the platform to put my work out there for everyone to see. I have been banging on about my 200-follower giveaway, I shall put this into practise as soon as I reach the big 2-00! I just want to say a little thankyou to you all for taking the time to read and comment and follow, and if I could give each an every one of you a gift, I would! Perhaps if I win the lottery I'll do just that :)

I was lucky enough to win a giveaway last week, from the lovely Claire at She'sCalledClaire blog. You can read more on that here. Anyway, part of my prize was this fabulously chintz teacup and saucer, and this beautiful vintage scarf. So they have become instant blog picture props :) Likewise to my minging bin, argh I only realised it was cluttering up my pictures halfway through taking them! Gross!

Cardi, Scarf, Teacup& Saucer: Vintage Blouse, Trousers: Gap Shoes: Topshop Belt: Vintage Dior

I am loving these shoes; they are a recent re-discovery (i.e; found in the back of the cupboard when looking for something else.) They are ancient but have always a) been really comfy and b) worn really well-they never look tatty which is another reason I love them. Plus I did 8 hours on them at work the other day which I think deserves a mention...they're blimming high!

I have started wearing my hair down more, it's getting so long now (YAY!) but it's so desperate for a cut, I can only wear it curled when it's down as it looks so grown out and minging if I straighten it. The curls kind of hide the grown out layers! Any ideas of a decent cut I could have? I am thinking perhaps just a trim to tidy it up, I normally have a good search online of celebs whose hair I like and then use them for inspiration. I was pleased to read in my latest Grazia that the 'mid' length cut is the one du jour...along with the mid-length skirt; which I am currently on the search for, I want a vintage one with a sunray pleat. So if anyone knows of one of those, sling me the link! I shall be checking out the Cherry Closet vintage store actually, they always seem to have amazing pieces!
xoxo
