Shirt/Dress...

After the complete bashing I have been giving Primark just lately, it is ironic and somewhat hypocritical that I am wearing a Primark shirt dress in this post! I actually bought this denim shirt to wear as that-a shirt-but it is so long (or maybe I am just short!) that I can wear it as a dress with leggings. It's actually really nice quality denim and a gorgeous pale wash. It dips into the 'masculine wear' trend that seems to be quite hot at the moment-this month's ASOS mag had a double page spread on how to re-wear menswear. Interesting fact: Musician Ladyhawke only ever wears men's clothes. I like the idea of dressing in mens clothing in some ways, for example I like how this shirt does look like an oversized guy's shirt, and I think some rolled up chino-type trousers would look cute with heels (the Boy has some well nice navy ones I've got my peepers on...how nice would they look with those Jones clogs!?) However I think you have to be careful not to look too 'butch'. I love mens accessories though, I always pick mens broken watches in charity shops because I love the oversized-ness of them and the way they look on my wrist. What do you think of this trend?

I have lost the Boy to World Cup Computer Soccer this evening so I have been trawling the internet looking for places to go on holiday. We are thinking of going to London over the summer for a few days to take in the museums, do some shopping, and so on, and I have been hunting for a cheap hotel for ever! Think I might have found a couple of possibilities though...so exciting. I hope the weather will be good!
I am going to be working all this weekend (except Sunday-bliss!) and I don't mind the Monday so much, since it is a bank holiday so I will get an extra holiday day for it. And then by Tuesday I should have been paid, so I can buy my Jones clogs, Pringle bag (maybe-if I can afford it!) and a few other bits I've had my eye on. Exciting stuff!
I saw one of my best friends today, with her 9 month old daughter who is absolutely gorgeous. I am her 'Auntie' (My best friend and I have known each other since we were 12) and I want to buy her something to keep for when she turns 18-if I had won the £400 from My-Wardrobe that I posted about the other week, I would have bought her something from there! I am thinking maybe jewellery or maybe a particularly beautiful pair of shoes...hmm, I'm going to have to think on it!
Hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend. Lets hope the sun comes out too!
xoxo
