A Little Chrisopher Kane....

Howdy! Once again I am snapping from the Boy's room, well, until he woke up, stepped in, and sorted me out!

I hate my face in this picture but it is a good one of my hair. I was going for a Rihanna today with a side braid so it looks like I only have half a head of hair, a la Alice Dellal. Sadly my hair is so thick it poked out the side a bit, oh well, the thought was there!

I am wearing this Quiksilver dress today which is nicely on trend as Christopher Kane showed some smashing oversized gingham for SS10. I have summer-fied this dress with my bleached shirt and the pink crop tee underneath it, but toughened it up again with my faveeee boots! Oh I love these boots.
Shirt: Primark, Dress: Quiksilver, Necklace: Bay, Boots: New Look, Broken Belt: Present from a friend.

Today was another stupid boring day at work but I worked with my friend Loz which made it more bearable. I also had a yummy fajita for lunch, left over from when we had fajita's last night which was lush! I also caught up with 2 friends who I have been meaning to talk to for agessss, so that was lovely.
I also think it would be appropriate to share my latest purchases with you all! Firstly I bought a lovely shearling coat from eBay, for the sum of £7, it is sooo nice, like tartan check on the outside and all furry inside. I predict it will be great over a khaki dress for AW10/11. Also I have bought a really nice sequin jacket from New Look, in the sale reduced from £50 to £15, thats the sort of price I like! It's pretty, a little military-esque, and has a few studs on...I've been hanging on for a sequin jacket that doesn't scream 'party season' for ages so I was so chuffed to find this one. I think I shall wear it loads with my harems and also it will properly toughen up little dresses, I reckon it is a winner. Also it was part of the 'Limited Collection' so I'm hoping the chance of seeing a duplicate is slim!
Finally I've also bought some new snakeprint leggings in grey and black, which I'm going to layer my plain Quiksilver tunics and blouses over to give them a new look for work, and some Henry Holland for pretty polly tights, they're called 'The Colour Card' and I have got them in black and purple, they are very funky and sort of graduate up your legs, with 2 white bands on the thigh and calf. I got black as they're always handy and go with everything, and the purple as it is a sort of pale lilac which is right on trend at the moment, I'm thinking they will look nice with my pale blue high waisted shorts and the aforementioned sequin jacket! yum.
So, now my SS10 wardrobe is only missing the following items:
1. A pair of clogs. Though I'm not completely sold, I do think they look lovely on...my fellow friends Giselle and Lina have both got them and I do really covet theirs, so I might give them a go.
2. A pair of denim shorts...still searching for the perfect ones (clean denim, pretty pocket liners, not too short)
3. A pair of formal shorts in Navy or Black
4. A white or cream lacy/boho type dress
5. A replacement tan belt (not broken!)
I'll keep searching...and keep you updated!

Your hair looks great like this I wish I was brave enough for an under cut but growing it out puts me off. xoxo
