Military For Day....

I took inspiration from the catwalks of Balmain today and reached for some khaki which is proving to be a really good transitional colour. I always like lightening up for spring but with the weather we've been having I just don't feel ready for pastels yet! So today I opted for some classic neutrals and threw a military spin on it.

I bought a copy of Look magazine today, I sometimes buy this if I've read Grazia for the week which is my fave weekly, obviously I always buy Vogue and I am an Elle subscriber (you get better covers, I have every single one, I'm a bit obsessed!) and they had a whole feature on khaki which I felt a bit smug about since I wore this outfit today anyway! I love it when that happens. I was also pleased to see the exact trousers I'm wearing featured! Though they were priced at £35 in Look and I picked mine up for £15 in the sale!

Leather Jacket: ASOS, Silk Blouse: Quiksilver Woman, Matelot Tapered Trousers: Topshop, Shoe Boots: Primark, Rings: Primark.

I got a compliment on my outfit today which was lovely. I also got one yesterday but it was a bit backhanded, to the extent of: 'I love how you're wearing that outfit and you don't care what anyone thinks.' hmmmm!?!
I've had a remark made at me like this before, in fact I blogged about it in an older post...such a confusing 'compliment' to work out! The girl said it with a smile so I'm taking it to mean good things...!

I went on eBay today and I have bought a couple of pieces that I'm excited to get, I managed to find a top with mesh inserts similar to Cheryl Cole (Tweedy?!)'s, and a huge silver ring with a scorpion decoration, I love statement rings and especially ones that are a little quirky with a bit of an edgy look! I can't wait to receive it, I'll show you when it comes! Also I got my brogues back from the cobblers, I think they will be the foundation of tomorrows outfit!
xoxo
