Double Denim......

Double denim! Is there a more 80's look to be found?! Well, I expect so, but I had been wanting to try this nostalgic stalwart for ages since I'd seen it on a few catwalks. But how to rock it without looking too, er, off duty Hulk Hogan?!

In the end, I went for the classic jeans and denim shirt combo-the shirt is actually a dress which I tucked in. I like how they are quite similar in shade-I think this makes the look more 'wearable'.
I broke it up using a tan belt (I'm a bit obsessed with this just lately, even though I've broken it, so am going to have to replace it sharpish,) and a black blazer and chelsea boots, and kept my accessories simple and statement with this huge agate slice necklace, which I made using a crystal piece and an old chain, I like it. Brown and Black, Blue and Green...I'm really breaking all the style rules today. Oh well: Sundays rule for that!

Blazer: Primark, Denim Dress (worn as shirt) Next, Corset Jeans: Topshop, Socks: Primark, Boots: Topshop, Necklace: Handmade, Ring: Topshop, Belt: Present.

I'd love to know what you all make of this! Have any other fashionista's out there attempted double denim yet?

Looks nice!
Sometimes I wear jeans with a denim jacket, but this only works for me with short denim jackets. Otherwise it looks jumperlike and since I'm short, that doesn't look too good...
