Monochromatics....

I thought today I would try out my new Over The Knee boots which I have been longing to wear since they arrived but I haven't yet had the chance. I thought they would be quite hard to wear despite the fact that these ones are more cute than fierce but I wanted to have a go anyway!

I paired them with skinny black jeans and kept the look minimal with white and gold accents. The boots themselves are studded (don't know if you can see this in the pictures...!) but since they are quite a statement piece in themselves, I thought they should have centre stage.

Shoulder Padded Cardigan : Topshop, White Bow Blouse: Quiksilver Womens, Skinny Jeans: Topshop, Ring: Primark, Gold Ring: Dorothy Perkins, Watch: Vintage, Belt (worn around leg) Topshop, Boots: ASOS, Hair Flower: Dorothy Perkins.

I added the belt around my leg as it picks up on the gold tonal qualities of the boots and my jewellery. I've seen a few people wearing leg cuffs and body adornments just recently (My fellow blogger friend Giselle at styleofafashionista.blogspot.com has rocked one in the past and looks gorgeous) so I thought I'd try using a belt for a bit of interest. I think it looks good!

Monochrome colourways always look chic in my opinion and with a few luxe accessories (velvet hair flower, statement boots and jewels) it can look really Chanel-esque...there's always the danger of looking like a waitress when you wear a lot of black and white...I hope I've avoided that look at least!! xoxo
