Global Traveller Colour Pops....

My outfit inspiration for today came from the catwalks of Rodarte, Dries Van Noten and Jaeger, with a little bit of Balmain chucked in for good measure. As most of my blog followers will know, I don't really wear much colour...I'm a 'black&neutrals' kinda girl, I always feel more smart in a pared down palette. However, in an attempt to work some colour back in, I looked to the 'Global Traveller' trend that seems to be bubbling under for SS10. Using a geometric print cami under a chunky cardigan with flat boots translated the look nicely to daywear. For a smarter take I added a heel and a shoulderpad blazer.

Even though the camisole is quite bright, the shattered print lends a more urban edge. And it is silk so the adjacent textures with the thick knit were really nice (the photo's don't really show this!) I layered the whole outfit over a basic Topshop vest dress which made the look a little more casual. (Perfect for work!)

Cardigan: Quiksilver Womens, Cami: Quiksilver Womens, Plait Belt: Primark, Vest Dress: Topshop, Tights: Marks & Spencer, Boots: Topshop, Bracelets: Accessorize, Cocktail Ring: Primark.

And here is how I would wear this look if I wasn't going to work....!

All clothes as before except: Blazer: Primark, Watch: Vintage, Studded Belt: ASOS, Ankle Boots: Topshop (present from the boy!) :)
